BLACKWOOD Act 1 launches on September 16, 2026 on Steam for Windows. That date comes from the official announcement and matches the Steam store listing. Date, store, and time zone

Steam lists September 16, 2026, 17:00 UTC in database dumps, which is afternoon in Western Europe and morning in the Americas. If you are in Japan, some coverage noted September 17 local because of the time zone. Wishlist notifications from Steam remain the reliable alarm. This wiki will not invent a midnight rollout for every region.

The game is coming soon until that stamp flips. There are no user reviews yet because there is no public build to review. Pre-release “review scores” on random blogs are not Steam reviews.

Price and what “one purchase” means

Act 1 launches at $24.99. The studio’s post is unusually clear for a split campaign:

• You buy the full game, not a season pass.
• Act 2 and Act 3 are free updates for owners.
• After Act 2 ships, new buyers see $29.99.
• After Act 3 ships, new buyers see $34.99.

Buying at Act 1 is the cheapest official path to the complete three-act story if those later acts ship as planned. Plans can slip. The roadmap keeps the windows (March 2027, September 2027) without pretending they are as hard as the September 16 stamp.

Regional Steam prices will convert. Taxes depend on your store. This page quotes the dollar figure from the announcement.

Language and content rating

Steam’s language table is a single row: English interface, English full audio, English subtitles. A commenter on the deep dive asked about Spanish subtitles; they are not listed. This wiki still offers French, German, and Spanish articles for players who read those languages, but the game client is English until the studio adds more rows.

A Gamescom 2026 booth demo existed. That is not the same as the shipping build. Do not treat booth length as “how long Act 1 is.”
